HTTP response disclosure via instanceHealth URL authority injection
Published Dec 20, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SSRF in VMware Workspace ONE Access and Identity Manager allows remote authenticated users to read arbitrary HTTP responses. The instanceHealth endpoint appends an attacker-controlled path to a trusted host URL; an injected at-sign changes the URL authority, causing a request to an arbitrary origin and returning its body. A valid administrative session and cluster-hostname knowledge enable direct exploitation; an embedded cross-site image sends the session token to an attacker-controlled host.
