CVE-2021-22051Network attack vector

Authenticated downstream request injection via crafted requests

Published Nov 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Incorrect authorization in VMware Spring Cloud Gateway allows remote authenticated users to trigger an extra downstream request. Spring has not published the affected request-processing locus or the authorization operation that mishandles crafted input. Exploitation requires low-privileged access to the network-facing gateway and can cause an unintended request to a configured downstream service.
