CVE-2021-22047Network attack vector

Unauthorized resource access via duplicate controller mappings

Published Oct 28, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Authorization bypass in Spring Data REST 3.4.0 through 3.4.13 and 3.5.0 through 3.5.5 allows remote attackers to access HTTP resources. A type-level request mapping on a custom controller is registered both beneath the configured base API path and at the same path without that prefix. Exploitation requires a nonempty base path and security rules that protect only the prefixed URI, exposing the unprefixed controller resource without the intended authorization.
