CVE-2021-22034Network attack vector

Unauthenticated environment-variable disclosure over HTTPS

Published Oct 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in VMware Chargeback 2.x allows remote attackers to read configured system environment variables over port 443. The exposed HTTPS interface provides access to set environment variables, but VMware has not disclosed the request path or faulty handler. Network reachability to the service is sufficient; the documented consequence is limited to confidentiality loss.
