Authenticated denial of service via replication flaw
Published Apr 22, 2021 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Denial of service in MySQL Server 5.7.32 and earlier and 8.0.22 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang or crash the server. Oracle has not published the exact replication code locus or the operation that mishandles attacker-controlled input. A low-privileged account with network access through a supported protocol is required, and successful exploitation affects availability only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
