Unauthenticated service interruption via VPXD memory exhaustion

Denial of service in VMware vCenter Server and Cloud Foundation allows remote attackers to interrupt VPXD through requests to port 443. VPXD consumes excessive memory while handling the request, but VMware has not disclosed the request form or allocation path that lacks a resource limit. Network access to port 443 without authentication is sufficient; affected releases include vCenter Server 6.7 before 6.7 U3o and 7.x before 7.0 U2c, and Cloud Foundation 3.x before 3.10.2.2 and 4.x before 4.3.
