Root command execution via unsanitized country code
Published Dec 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in Anker Innovations eufy HomeBase 2 2.1.6.9h allows remote authenticated users to execute commands as root. The home_security binary inserts the packet's country_code value into an iwpriv command without sanitization and passes it directly to a BusyBox shell. The UDP request requires authentication, although separate authentication-bypass flaws can satisfy that gate.
