Remote code execution via unchecked domain count
Published Dec 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
An out-of-bounds write in Anker Innovations eufy HomeBase 2 2.1.6.9h allows remote attackers to execute code via a crafted UDP packet. The read_udp_push_config_file function trusts the persisted domain_total value and uses its loop index to clear and copy 128-byte domain entries beyond a fixed global array. Unauthenticated server-list messages can plant the value remotely, and the resulting write-what-where condition is reached when the configuration is read after reboot.
