Database disclosure via unbound mac_filter SQL
Published Dec 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Advantech R-SeeNet 2.4.16 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data via mac_filter. The device_list.php handler URL-decodes mac_filter into a session value and concatenates it into dynamic SQL that sp_GetDevicesUser prepares without bound parameters. Any authenticated account can reach the endpoint; context-dependent attackers can instead submit the request through cross-site request forgery.
