CVE-2021-21886Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Directory-name disclosure via unsanitized traversal path

Published Dec 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Path traversal in Lantronix PremierWave 2050 8.9.0.0R4 allows remote authenticated users to disclose file and directory names. Web Manager's FSBrowsePage inserts the unsanitized dir parameter after /ltrx_user/, so a /../ prefix escapes that root and lists arbitrary directories. An authenticated but unprivileged Web Manager account is required, and the flaw reveals names only rather than file contents.
