CVE-2021-21832Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Heap corruption via ISO size integer overflow

Published Aug 17, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Memory corruption in ISO parsing in Disc Soft DAEMON Tools Pro 8.3.0.0767 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap memory via a malformed ISO file. An ISO directory-record size is shifted in a 32-bit register, allowing integer wraparound and an undersized or zero-length allocation that memmove subsequently overwrites. The condition requires the application to parse the crafted image and can cause an access-violation crash or corrupt adjacent heap data.
