Metadata disclosure via ORACLE_OCM view creation
Published Apr 22, 2021 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Information disclosure in Oracle Database Vault 12.1.0.2, 12.2.0.1, 18c, and 19c allows remote authenticated users to read realm metadata. Creating an ORACLE_OCM-owned view over DBA_DV_REALM causes later queries against that view to bypass Database Vault's direct-access restriction. Exploitation requires Oracle Net access and the high-privilege CREATE ANY VIEW and SELECT ANY VIEW grants, and exposes only a subset of Database Vault data.
