High-privilege server hang or repeatable crash
Published Apr 22, 2021 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server InnoDB 5.7.33 and earlier and 8.0.23 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hang or crash it. Oracle has not disclosed the flawed InnoDB operation or the input that triggers the failure. Exploitation requires a highly privileged MySQL account, network access over the MySQL protocol, and a difficult-to-control condition; successful attacks affect availability only.
