Secret extraction and SSRF via external entities
Published Nov 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
XXE in Jenkins Project Performance Plugin 3.20 and earlier allows attackers to extract controller secrets via crafted XML reports. TaurusParser permits external entity resolution, causing its XML parser to access an attacker-specified URI and incorporate the returned contents into the report document. Exploitation requires control of workspace contents and can disclose data available to the Jenkins service account or send server-side requests.
