CVE-2021-21698Network attack vector

Arbitrary file reads via key-name path traversal

Published Nov 4, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Path traversal in Jenkins Subversion Plugin 2.15.0 and earlier allows attackers controlling agents to read controller files. The controller-side key-file lookup accepts an agent-supplied file name containing directory separators and resolves it outside the intended key directory. Control of a Jenkins agent process is required, and the consequence is arbitrary file disclosure from the controller filesystem.
