CVE-2021-21643Network attack vector

Credential ID disclosure via incorrect endpoint authorization

Published Apr 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Incorrect authorization in Jenkins Config File Provider Plugin 3.7.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to enumerate credential IDs. The ServerCredentialMapping and PropertiesCredentialMapping list-box endpoints check Item/Configure instead of Overall/Administer when operating in the global context. Global Job/Configure permission is sufficient; the identifiers do not reveal secret values directly but can support credential capture through another flaw.
