CVE-2021-21632Network attack vector

Authenticated credential theft via unchecked connection endpoints

Published Mar 30, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Missing authorization in Jenkins OWASP Dependency-Track Plugin 3.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to capture credentials. Several DescriptorImpl HTTP endpoints accept attacker-controlled URLs and credential IDs, look up secret-text values, and make outbound requests without checking Administer or Item/Configure permission. Overall/Read access is sufficient; a separately obtained ID, or the configured global credential when no ID is supplied, is disclosed to the specified server.
