Authenticated management interruption via API resource exhaustion
Published Aug 10, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Uncontrolled resource consumption in Dell Technologies NetWorker before 19.4.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt management. Dell has not disclosed which API request retains resources past their effective lifetime or which resource is exhausted. The web and desktop interfaces expose the API path to authorized users, and exploitation causes denial of service only in the manageability path.
