Filesystem path disclosure via verbose endpoint error
Published Jul 15, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Full path disclosure in Dell Wyse Management Suite 3.2 and earlier allows local users to obtain filesystem paths through a crafted PUT request. The /ccm-web/image/pull/a/b endpoint returns a verbose error containing the installation path when it receives malformed path segments. A valid Wyse device ID obtained from a configured thin client is required, and the disclosed path facilitates a separate arbitrary-file-read flaw.
