CVE-2021-21580Network attack vector

Content spoofing via unneutralized URL text

Published Aug 3, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Content spoofing in Dell EMC iDRAC8 before 2.80.80.80 and iDRAC9 before 5.00.00.00 allows remote attackers to display deceptive text. A crafted URL supplies text that the iDRAC web application renders inside a customized message without neutralizing the attacker-controlled content. Exploitation requires a user to follow the malicious link and trust the injected message; the documented consequence is phishing-related content manipulation.
