CVE-2021-21568Network attack vector

Untracked configuration changes via omitted audit records

Published Aug 16, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Insufficient logging in Dell Technologies PowerScale OneFS 8.2.x through 9.2.x allows remote authenticated users to make untracked changes. Dell has not disclosed which PAPI logging component omits the audit record or the operation responsible for the omission. Exploitation requires ISI_PRIV_LOGIN_PAPI and permits only role-authorized configuration changes, but those changes are unaudited and untraceable.
