LDAP credential disclosure via sensitive log entries
Published Jun 8, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Information disclosure in Dell Technologies NetWorker 18.x and 19.1.x through 19.4.0.1 allows local users to read LDAP credentials from NMC logs. The NetWorker Management Console gstd component writes LDAP credentials into local log files instead of excluding sensitive authentication data. Exploitation requires local administrator access to the NMC host, and the exposed credentials permit changes to the network domain.
