Heap-based buffer overflow in Dell PowerEdge BIOS before 2.11.2 allows local users to execute code, disclose data, or crash firmware. Dell locates the corruption in the UEFI or BIOS preboot environment but does not disclose the affected routine or malformed input operation. Exploitation requires high privileges, user interaction, and an affected PowerEdge system with NVDIMM-N installed; consequences are confined to preboot firmware execution, disclosure, or service interruption.
