Device reconfiguration via management-server redirection
Published Apr 2, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Improper management-server validation in Dell Wyse ThinOS before 8.6 MR9 allows remote attackers to alter device configuration. The client accepts an attacker-directed management server without adequate validation and applies its configuration or certificate file. No authentication or user interaction is required, but Dell rates exploitation as high complexity and does not disclose the redirection trigger.
