Session-data theft via unencoded parameters
Published Jun 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in SAP NetWeaver AS for ABAP Web Survey on affected releases allows remote attackers to access current-session data through crafted requests. BSP pages fail to encode input and output parameters, allowing attacker-supplied script to execute in a victim's browser context. Exploitation requires a victim to follow or render the crafted request; the script can read session-related data and impersonate that user, with no stated server availability impact.
