Authenticated ABAP code execution via unvalidated report source
Published Jan 12, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Code injection in SAP Business Warehouse and SAP BW/4HANA allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary ABAP code via RFC. RSDRI_DF_TEXT_READ builds source from unvalidated import parameters and passes it to INSERT REPORT, embedding attacker-controlled code in the ABAP Repository. A low-privileged RFC account is required; the injected report can read sensitive data, alter database records, or interrupt the SAP system.
