CVE-2021-21440Network attack vector

Private-key disclosure via support-bundle file inclusion

Published Jul 26, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Sensitive-information exposure in OTRS and ((OTRS)) Community Edition allows attackers to obtain private S/MIME and PGP keys from support bundles. The support-bundle generator fails to exclude private S/MIME and PGP key files when their containing folder is not marked hidden. Exploitation requires a privileged user to generate and expose the bundle; anyone who obtains the archive can recover the included cryptographic private keys.

Exploitability

Present is not the same as exploitable

Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
