Local specification disclosure via world-readable temporary files
Published Apr 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in OpenAPI Generator Maven plugin before 5.1.0 allows local users to read temporary OpenAPI specification files. CodeGenMojo downloads a remote input specification into a file created by File.createTempFile in the shared system temporary directory, leaving default permissions readable by other users. Exposure requires a Unix-like host with a shared temporary directory; Windows and modern macOS are unaffected, and disclosed impact is limited to specification contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
