Command execution via unescaped getPackedPackage argument
Published Apr 29, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in @prisma/sdk before 2.20.0 allows attackers to execute arbitrary commands through getPackedPackage input. The function places its third argument into a shell command without escaping, so metacharacters such as backticks trigger execution. Exploitation requires a consuming application to call this unadvertised test-and-build helper with attacker-controlled data; Prisma found no such use in its codebase.
