Role-name disclosure via unrestricted enumerateRoles access
Published Mar 8, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Products.PluggableAuthService before 2.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to list ZODB role names. ZODBRoleManager.enumerateRoles lacks a private security declaration, exposing role enumeration to callers without explicit authorization. The site must use the ZODB Role Manager plugin; the flaw reveals configured role names but does not modify roles or service state.
