Browser script execution via unescaped form values
Published Oct 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Galette before 0.9.5 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in another person's browser. Member names, company data, dynamic-field labels, and login values reach templates or controller output without HTML escaping. Stored payloads require self-subscription to be enabled and a victim to view affected member data; reflected payloads require user interaction on a login or password-retrieval page.
