Cross-site scripting via unsanitized tab parameters
Published Mar 3, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in GLPI before 9.5.4 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser through crafted tab parameters. The /ajax/common.tabs.php endpoint inserts unsanitized _target and id values into tab output, allowing a JavaScript URL or crafted function expression to execute. Exploitation requires a GLPI user to open the crafted tab response or click its generated control; script runs in the GLPI origin with that user's access.
