Service interruption via unbounded connection acceptance
Published Feb 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Uncontrolled resource consumption in http4s-blaze-server before 0.21.17 allows remote attackers to interrupt services with open connections. The Blaze selector pool accepts every incoming connection into an unbounded queue, allocating a socket handle before MaxActiveRequests limits request processing. An unauthenticated network path to a Blaze-backed server is sufficient to drain file handles under load, causing availability loss without reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
