CVE-2021-21219Network attack vector

Sensitive memory disclosure via uninitialized PDFium data

Published Apr 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in Google Chrome before 90.0.4430.72 allows remote attackers to read process memory via crafted PDF files. PDFium returns uninitialized data while parsing attacker-supplied PDF content, exposing residual process-memory bytes to the document origin. Exploitation requires remote delivery of a PDF and user opening or viewing it; the demonstrated consequence is potentially sensitive information disclosure without reported integrity or availability impact.
