Sandbox escape via permissions use-after-free
Published Apr 26, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Google Chrome before 90.0.4430.72 allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox through a crafted HTML page. Google's public advisory identifies the permissions component but does not disclose the freed object or the erroneous lifetime operation. Exploitation requires user interaction with the page and prior compromise of a renderer process; success removes the renderer's sandbox boundary.
