Sandbox escape via Payments use-after-free
Published Feb 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Use-after-free in Payments in Google Chrome on Mac before 88.0.4324.146 allows remote attackers to escape the sandbox via crafted HTML. Google identifies the Payments component and memory-lifetime error but has not published the affected object, code path, or triggering operation. Exploitation requires a Mac user to open attacker-controlled HTML, and the documented consequence is escape from Chrome's renderer sandbox.
