Policy bypass in Google Chrome before 88.0.4324.96 allows remote attackers to evade File System API extension restrictions via crafted HTML. Google identifies insufficient policy enforcement in the File System API, but the restricted bug record leaves the faulty check and code locus undisclosed. A user must open the page, after which the attacker can bypass a file-extension restriction; no broader file read, code execution, or availability impact is reported.
