CVE-2021-21096

Application denial of service via incorrect directory permissions

Published Apr 15, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Improper authorization in Adobe Bridge 10.1.1 and earlier and 11.0.1 and earlier allows local users to interrupt the application. The Adobe Genuine Software Service assigns incorrect permissions to the AdobeGCData directory, permitting low-privileged code to create the denial-of-service condition. Exploitation requires local low-privileged code execution, needs no user interaction, and affects the current user's application context.
