CVE-2021-21061

Information disclosure via freed object access

Published Feb 11, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024

Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat Reader allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information via a crafted PDF opened by a victim. The PDF setAction handler accesses an object after it has been freed while parsing crafted action data. Exploitation requires an unauthenticated attacker to deliver the file and a user to open it; the reported consequence is information disclosure in that user's context, not code execution.
