Code execution via crafted-file out-of-bounds read
Published Feb 11, 2021 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Out-of-bounds read in Adobe Photoshop 21.2.4 and earlier and 22.1.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a crafted file. Adobe identifies the locus only as crafted-file parsing and has not disclosed the affected parser, file format, or faulty bounds operation. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file, after which attacker-controlled code runs with the victim's current-user privileges on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
