User-context code execution via use-after-free
Published Feb 11, 2021 · Updated Sep 16, 2024
Use-after-free in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2020.013.20074 and earlier allows attackers to execute code through a malicious PDF. Adobe identifies reuse of freed memory during file processing but has not disclosed the affected parser, object type, or lifetime error. Exploitation requires a victim to open the file and runs code with the victim's privileges; Reader 2020 2020.001.30018 and earlier and Reader 2017 2017.011.30188 and earlier are also affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
