CVE-2021-21027Network attack vector

Unauthorized metadata modification via GraphQL CSRF

Published Feb 11, 2021 · Updated Sep 17, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Adobe Commerce 2.4.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify customer metadata through GraphQL. Adobe identifies the GraphQL API as the affected interface but has not published the request handler or missing validation that permits the forged state-changing operation. A victim must submit the forged request; attacker authentication and administrator-console access are unnecessary, and the reported consequence is limited to customer-metadata changes.
