Authenticated field-group relocation via missing authorization
Published Dec 13, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in Advanced Custom Fields and Advanced Custom Fields Pro before 5.11 allows remote authenticated users to move field groups. JPCERT/CC identifies the field-group movement operation but does not disclose the responsible handler or the omitted permission check. Subscriber, Contributor, or Author access is sufficient, and the bounded consequence is unauthorized relocation of field groups.
