Unauthorized settings changes via missing CSRF checks
Published Dec 1, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Aftab Muni Browser and Operating System Finder before 1.2 allows remote attackers to alter plugin settings. The settings-save path accepts attacker-chosen POST parameters without verifying an anti-CSRF nonce and stores them as plugin options. An administrator must be signed in and visit a crafted page, enabling unauthorized settings changes and potentially stored script execution.
