Administrator session hijack via missing nonce validation
Published Jul 7, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in WPCS – WordPress Currency Switcher Professional 1.1.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to hijack administrator authentication via crafted requests. The print_plugin_options() function lacks correct nonce validation, allowing attacker-controlled requests to change plugin settings and inject web scripts when an administrator is induced to submit them. Exploitation requires a signed-in administrator to perform the action; the documented consequence is unauthorized settings modification and script injection.
