Reflected XSS via unescaped image path
Published Jun 28, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in EC-CUBE 3.0.0 through 3.0.18-p2 and 4.0.0 through 4.0.5-p1 lets remote attackers run script in an administrator's browser. The admin payment_edit.twig template inserts an attacker-influenced image path into a CSS background URL without adequate escaping, so crafted external content is interpreted as script when an administrator performs the required operation. Exploitation requires administrator interaction with a malicious page and affects browser-session confidentiality and integrity; the records do not establish server-side code execution or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=EC-CUBE 3.0.0 to 3.0.18-p2 (EC-CUBE 3 series) and EC-CUBE 4.0.0 to 4.0.5-p1 (EC-CUBE 4 series)
