Unauthenticated file upload via malformed WebManager request
Published Nov 2, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper input validation in NEC EXPRESSCLUSTER X WebManager 4.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary files. The WebManager upload handler accepts a specially crafted upload request without adequate input validation; NEC has not disclosed the affected parameter or destination-path checks. Network access to WebManager is sufficient, and the documented consequence is unauthorized file creation without reported file reading or service interruption.
