An undisclosed flaw in Oracle Outside In Technology 8.5.4 and 8.5.5 allows remote attackers to alter data through Outside In Filters. Oracle has not published the faulty filter, input format, or operation performed on untrusted content. Network exploitation requires an integrating application to pass HTTP-derived data directly into the SDK; successful attacks can also read a subset of accessible data and partially interrupt the service.
