Authenticated file deletion via directory traversal
Published Feb 24, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Directory traversal in CONTEC SolarView Compact SV-CPT-MC310 before 6.50 allows remote authenticated users to delete files over an adjacent network. Public advisories do not identify the vulnerable request handler, parameter, or path-normalization error that permits traversal. A user must log in, and deletion can remove arbitrary server files or directories, causing data loss or service interruption.
