Improper access control in affected IBM Sterling File Gateway releases allows remote authenticated users to upload arbitrary files. IBM identifies the myFileGateway user interface as the affected component but has not disclosed which authorization check is missing or bypassed. A valid low-privilege account is required; affected ranges end at 5.2.6.5_4, 6.0.0.6, 6.0.3.4, and 6.1.0.2.
